Maritime Museum Interview

Barcelona’s Maritime Museum or Museu Marítim, stands proudly on the site of the former Atarazanas shipbuilding site at the end of the famous Ramblas, facing the very sea onto which it once floated freshly built boats.

This fine example of Gothic architecture dating from the end of the 13th century, now houses an excellent permanent collection of maritime artefacts and hosts fascinating temporary shows, too.

From the bridge of the life-size replica of a royal battleship, Monica Rodriguez, from the events team, tells us all about this extraordinary building, its unique spaces and why the Maritime Museum is such a fantastic venue for corporate events.
