The voice of the Expert: Catalunya Convention Bureau
Catalonia, in north-eastern Spain, is probably most famous for its capital, Barcelona. However, beyond its largest city, the region is a real treat for visitors. It boasts long stretches of Mediterranean beaches and remote coves, the majestic Pyrenees in the north, medieval towns and villages and of course beautiful wine country.
Gastonomically-speaking, Catalonia is a world leader, bursting with fantastic traditional tavernas that share the stage with excellent Michelin restaurants. Vibrant local traditions and culture are also very much alive here.
Deborah Chicote, business development manager at the Catalonia Convention Bureau talks to us about what the region has to offer visitors and her organisation’s priorities for the MICE industry moving forwards.
